YOU GUYS. WHY DID BOTH DOCTOR WHO AND GAME OF THRONES COME OUT AT THE BUSIEST TIME OF THE YEAR??? My productivity was going to be low enough without suddenly having to deal with two television shows.

NO MATTER. I am so so so unbelievably In Love with this show, oh my godddd. The third episode just cemented it.

Catelyn!

And Ned trying to be all fatherly!

And Jon, and Bran!

And adorable Arya learning how to fight with a sword!!

And Catelyn! Did I mention Catelyn? Yes, but she gets one more picture for sheer amazingness/gorgeousness:

DYING OF LOVE, PEOPLE. ABSOLUTELY DYING.

This will be one for when it's out on DVD, since I don't have HBO (or whatever network it's on). I'm looking forward to it. :)

Oooor you could do some creative googling and download it off the internet the way I did Sorry, did I say that out loud? :D

It will be well worth the wait! Soooooo brilliant. DVD will also be nice, as a television screen is often preferable to a tiny laptop screen!

IT'S OKAY, ROBB, SHE DIDN'T MEAN IT. HUG IT OUT, HUG IT OUT.

(BRB, waiting for Game of Thrones .gifs to replace True Blood in popularity in random .gif wars. Have a feeling I won't be waiting long...)

I'm certainly enjoying it. :^) It has its glitches (scene changes in Ep. 1 were choppy), but I was right. Editing out a lot of GRRM's extraneous descriptions of food, his "Behold these very special ye olde obscure medievalesque terms that I bandy about!", and his persistent listing of irrelevant banners moves the story along at a decent clip. Ep. 3 was very good. That conversation between Jaime and Ned in the throne room was perfect. Nicolaj Coster-Walder nailed the complexity that is Jaime Lannister in just that scene whereas it took GRRM almost a novel and a half to do so. That scene between Syrio Forel and Arya? Perfect. And of course, Peter Dinklage owns the role of Tyrion.

I agree with everything said in this comment :D. ESPECIALLY the last two bits, muahahaha.

Also, regarding extraneous descriptions of food everywhere:

I commend these people for their efforts :D
