I imagine there was a lot of thinking that they had to do in those first few years of his young adulthood, in a lot of respects. And thank you! I'm glad they look easy, because Adanel, at least, was several months of developing and angsting over before I finally felt comfortable putting her in fic. (Nethril, on the flip side, sort of sprang fully formed from my head a la Athena. I actually wonder if it helped that the first two stories I wrote her in featured her as a child? So it was easier to imagine her trajectory of life based on how i'd written/thought about her as a six-year old. I could be completely pulling that out of my ass, though...)
