Yuletide letter!

Yuletide, Yuletide, how I love Yuletide...

Dear Yuletide Santa,

First and foremost, thank you so very much for whatever treasure I know you will produce. This is my second year participating in Yuletide (though I don't remember writing a letter last year) and makes me so very happy! I can guarantee you that I will absolutely love anything you write for me.

A couple of general things: First, I am one of those rare beings in fandom who is not a huge fan of slash. There are a select few exceptions to that, but none in the particular fandoms I requested. Overall I prefer gen fic and/or canon pairings. Boring, I know, but...there you go.  Beyond that, though I am not picky in the slightest!!

My fandoms and specific requests are as follows:

Tortall-Tamora Pierce
In my ideal world, some knightly mission that would also require the backing of the Queen's Riders would send Kel, Raoul, and Buri out to the Copper Isles sometime after Dove's coronation. Kel and Dove are tied as my absolute favorite characters in the Tortall universe, and it makes me sad that they inhabit such different realms. Both possess such a quiet strength, though in very different ways, and I would love to see how they would interact and work together. I imagine that they would have a lot of things in common--both are strong women in leadership roles, both are gifted commanders--but I also can see a clash between Dove's pragmatism and Kel's idealism.
I threw in Raoul and Buri because I love them too much not to, but also because I love the scenes that Kel and Buri share in "Squire." I would love to explore the possibility of her filling out more of a mentor role in Kel's life, or even in Dove's life if she ever were to encounter Dove.

John Adams (2008)

I am truly, truly not picky here. In my signup sheet I requested something featuring John and Abigail together (being the BAMFs that they are), but really anything within this fandom would make me super happy.

Star Wars: X-Wing Series

I am a much bigger Wraith Squadron fan than Rogue Squadron fan, and thus would prefer a story featuring the Wraiths if I had a choice. Beyond that, I would anything involving general shenanigans/debauchery among the squadron. I love the pranks that they all pull throughout the series and think it’d be hilarious to see what would happen if Wedge and Janson decided to screw military protocol and turn the tables on Face and Phanan. Also, as I’m thinking out loud I might forgo my previous request of no-slash and say that I’d be amenable to hints of Face/Phanan (though not to the point where it’s the main focus of the story).

 

I hope that I’m not being too specific with these requests…you can go by these or not as your heart desires. I will be so happy to have fic for any of these fandoms that, as previously stated, whatever you write will bring me joy. Thank you so much in advance, and good luck!
